A Washington native, Sean grew up in the outskirts of Mount Vernon, about 1.5 hours north of Seattle. He was conditioned from a young age to appreciate the wildness of our remarkable local salmon runs. With his father being a commercial fisherman, it was only natural that both Sean and his sister Dana grew spending most all of their teenage summers in Alaska working as crewmembers for the family business (a fishing vessel called the ‘Teaser’).

After high school, Sean headed north to Western Washington University, where he completed his BS in Industrial Technology, emphasis on Vehicle Design. He was a member of the award-winning WWU Hybrid Team that brought home a P3 (People, Prosperity & the Planet) Award in 2007.

Upon graduating, he hopped a plane to London to try to become a professional cyclist. Just kidding, but he really did do a European cycle tour. Sean’s first job after coming home was as a design engineer doing heavy-duty truck design. After this job concluded, he chose to shift his focus toward software and web development.

Currently Sean attends Bellevue College where he is pursuing the Programming for Web Development certificate. He also participates on a team for Imagine Cup 2011. In his free time he enjoys cycling, hiking and occasional mountain climbing.
