The Future in IT Challenge: Center of Excellence for Information & Computing Technology (coeforict.org) will host a one-week (six- to seven-day), free program, The Future in IT Challenge, for a minimum of twenty 9-10th graders in June 2014. Student participants will complete the following modules, which will be team-taught by high school, community and technical college educators, and industry professionals in:

• Statistics for IT (Infographics Development)
• Programming Basics
• Technical Writing
• Workplace Skills
• Mobile Application and/or Game Development
• Project Development & Team Work

The Center will both solicit a minimum of three CTC faculty to participate, as well as invite interested faculty to contact the Center if they are interested in developing the curriculum for a module and team teach the module in June 2014. A stipend will be offered for curriculum development and teaching. An orientation meeting will be held at Bellevue College fall quarter.
